Back in 2010, The Shoppes at River’s Edge opened with one simple idea: to bring people together. From day one, it was more than a store - it was a place where local vendors could share their passions, where neighbors could discover something unique, and where community could truly thrive.
Over the years, The Shoppes has become a launchpad for small businesses across York County. Dozens of vendors have started here, grown here, and found a family of support here. Our customers have grown with us too, returning again and again not just for the products, but for the sense of connection that makes this place special.
Early Years (Circa 2010, 2011, 2012)
Where We Are Today
Fourteen years later, The Shoppes has become a fixture in the Rock Hill and York County area - a marketplace filled with creativity, discovery, and local spirit. Walk through the doors today and you’ll find more than 35 vendors, each bringing their own story, style, and heart to their space. Every aisle holds something different - furniture, antiques, gifts, home décor, fashion, handmade goods - and no two visits are ever the same.
But we’ve never believed in standing still. Just as our vendors continue to evolve, so do we.
That’s why this year, we’ve embraced a fresh new look and rebrand. For years, our community has lovingly called us simply the 'Shoppes'. So we decided to lean into that identity. Our new logo and updated style reflect exactly who we are today: rooted in tradition, yet vibrant, and full of energy.

Where We’re Going Next
The Shoppes has always been about discovery. From the beginning, our marketplace has offered a mix of furniture, home décor, gifts, clothing, and antiques - the staples that make every visit fresh and full of surprises. These categories remain at the heart of who we are, and they continue to grow as new vendors bring their unique styles and stories to the mix.
But we’re also entering a brand-new chapter with something York County has been missing: Specialty Foods.
In the past, a few of our vendors offered small food products here and there, but now we’re taking this idea further and building it into a full category. Imagine shopping for a new piece of furniture or a perfect holiday gift and also being able to take home fresh baked goods, pre-made family meals, soups, dips, spreads, snacks, speciality wine, and other gourmet treats.

It’s more than just food on a shelf - it’s a way to bring the spirit of The Shoppes into the kitchen and onto the table. Just as our vendors have always inspired you to make a house a home, this new category will inspire moments of gathering, sharing, and connection.
As we look forward, The Shoppes will continue to expand thoughtfully - honoring the categories that made us who we are, while growing into new areas that make your visits even more special.
A Season to Celebrate
As always, tradition matters. One of our favorite annual highlights is the Christmas Party Extravaganza at The Shoppes. Each year, hundreds of families gather here to kick off the holiday season with shopping, music, food, and celebration. This year, on Thursday, November 6, we’re planning our biggest and most festive party yet! It will be the perfect moment to celebrate everything new at The Shoppes while holding onto what makes us who we are.
